Jan-Philipp Berner cooks for friends and family

“The recipes in this book were created at a time when the curbs were up everywhere due to the pandemic and Sylt was emptier than ever before. We finally wanted to do something again. For us, for our team with all its highly motivated young employees in the kitchen, but also for the people on the island. Creating something and giving something – that was the basic idea. Together with his trainees, he has compiled and expanded his favorite recipes from JP’s canteen – and thus offers down-to-earth dishes for special occasions with friends and family.
Even though his world is set in the fine dining sector and his trainees receive their training there, it was important to the whole team to show another facet of enjoyment. A very grounded, family-friendly and quality-conscious facet of enjoyment.
